Tags are available in an array of materials offering varying strengths for durability, tear resistance, and appearance. If lost tickets are a problem for your business, using a more tear-resistant material like thicker tag (12 or 14 mil/point), synthetic, or combination construction (DuraTag™) will prevent accidental removal of the tag from the product.

For a premium finished appearance to consumers, tag stocks can be coated one or two sides.

For scenarios where you or your consumers want to remove a portion of the tag, internal perforations (vertical or horizontal) can be included. For example, the pricing may be removed by the consumer for gift-giving, or internally your process may include separating a tag into 2 and 3 parts to apply to multiple items.

Perforations between tags allow easy division of tags after printing without the need for cutting equipment.

To maximize throughput, you should consider printing multiple side-by-side tags at once.

Color is a great way to support processes by offering visual identification. Color can be printed full tint, blocks, or images. If you require consecutive numbering (or other variable data printing) and the values are predetermined, this information can be printed during tag production, eliminating the need for in-house printing.
