CHARLOTTE, NC - SATO Corporation continues to expand on the DCS & Labeling Worldwide concept. The latest installment is the worldwide consolidation of ribbon names. On May 1st, 2005 all SATO Group Member Companies, worldwide, will begin using the exact same names on identical ribbon products. Effective immediately, SATO America will begin the transition to the new ribbon names listed below.
SATO America TTR | SATO Worldwide TTR | |
Standard | will become | T101A |
Premiere II | will become | T110A |
Premiere I | will become | T222A |
How does this change affect our SATO resellers?
- Hopefully, the single greatest affect will be the Price. The new naming will make it easier for SATO to leverage purchasing volumes worldwide.
- It will also make establishing performance trials, standards and collecting performance data easier, faster and common throughout SATO worldwide.
For SATO America’s Resellers the first evidence of the change will be a SATO label affixed to the outside of our ribbon boxes. The label will have the SATO Worldwide TTR name and the SATO America TTR name below. The second change will be the changing of the roll labels and the shipping labels. SATO will begin using the new names as soon as the labels can be changed. There will also be further announcements about the schedule for the web sites, SADIe (SATO’s reseller online store) and “The Store” at a later time. The Labels and Ribbons Resellers Price List will continue to have both names listed for the reseller’s convenience.
